Child Rights
QSA’s Chair is tasked with being the child safeguarding focal person, and have any reports of suspected breaches investigated swiftly and appropriate action taken, including reporting to the relevant authorities.
Projects with greater child-focused involvement have child rights-based performance indicators and monitoring included. Activities include awareness raising about children’s rights presented to children and adults, including kindergarten staff in Cambodia; training and encouraging children’s leadership skills in children’s Eco-Clubs in Tamil Nadu, India. Children have the opportunity to choose to become involved in eco-clubs and school food gardens (India and Uganda), community peace programs and participation in a peace club in Cambodia.
Some of QSA's projects are delivered in partnership with the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).
QSA has signed onto the Australian Council for International Development Code of Conduct See www.acfid.asn.au for details.
